ell1fit.spin_stats.spin_statistics(files, extra_files=(), outroot='ell1stat', degree=1, reference_mjd=None, rate_exclude=(), torque_index=0.8571428571428571, periodicity=None)

Run the analysis, write {outroot}_results.json, {outroot}_epochs.ecsv and the figures, and return the summary dict.

rate_exclude patterns leave epochs out of everything that uses the pulsed rate (see rate_values()). periodicity, if given, is a dict of keyword arguments for run_periodicity() (at least min_period and max_period).
