load_eps_samples

ell1fit.eccentricity.load_eps_samples(results_file, chain_file=None, row=-1)

Read EPS1/EPS2 posterior samples from a finished ell1fit run.

Parameters:

results_filestr

Path to the *_results.ecsv written by the fit. Beware which one: the chain sits next to the aggregate output root, which for a single-file run is the event file’s own root, and for a multi-file run is the combined -o root.

chain_filestr, optional

Path to the emcee HDF5 chain. Defaults to default_chain_file().

rowint

Which row of the table to use. ell1fit appends a row per run (ell1fit.results_io.safe_save()), so the default is the last, the most recent fit.

Returns:

eps1, eps2np.ndarray

Physical posterior samples, with the same burn-in and thinning the fit itself applied.
